Radial - Rotary - what's the difference? My mechanic said since they both start with an "R" I shouldn't worry. So you think he wasn't quite telling me the whole story?

In a rotary airplane engine the entire setup (engine and prop) are fixed together as one unit. So it is the engine itself that rotates and not the shaft coming out of it as is the case in the engine pictured above.

Battery? I don't have one of those hybrid cars. Why would I look for a battery? I think this new rotary idea is great!!

Some of you guys need to lighten up and recognize a light hearted spoof when you see one! Some here take themselves MUCH too seriously. Sit back and enjoy or just move on and leave the rest of us that can enjoy an unusual pic or a funny situation for what it's worth - just an occasional good chuckle.

But, I'm still trying to get that thing under myhood!

If it was a rotary the gas tank on the bike wouldn't get you between gas stations!
