Painting my calipers currently using Polak's stickers as a stencil. Has anyone done this using a G2 paint kit? If so, how long did you wait before trying to lift off the stickers? Do you let the paint fully harden for a day before trying or just wait until it's dry to the touch? Does anyone have any experience with this? Painting of second color is going on right now. Let me know. Thanks.

I might be too late but there it goes. When you mask paint such as expoxy paint its better to remove the masking/stencil when the paint has become tacky or dry to the touch sue tot eh fact that the epoxy paint gets hard and then the paint on top of the stencil might pull some of the sorounding paint with it that you wanted to stick to the caliper. Paint it and as soon as the paint looses its wetness you can remove the stencil. I know this from experience painting many things, not just brakes. Hope it helps and it wasnt too late.
If you let it dry completely then just keep this in mind when removing the stencil adn be careful not to peel away the paint sorounding it.

Thanks for your reply. I didn't end up pulling the stencils off as it will nearly impossible to tell where they were. Finished painting last night and going to look tonight to see if I can see where the stencils are and if I can remove them. I don't want to be picking away at it trying to blindly find the stencils and ruin the paint job. The G2 paint looks great. If it's not obvious where the stencils are, I'll just put labels on instead and replace them as needed. Not as good as stenciling but it will still look the same from a distance.

PoLaK, how do you think using them as decals would look if i use touch up paint to paint over them? I have a WB, and want mine black with a blue rx8 on them.

Hero, use Polak's instructions on his website. Paint blue first. Then put the decal on there and paint black over it. When it's dry, remove the decal with an exacto knife/tweasers.
This way will give a better longer life of it being on there.
