I've been searching high and low on the net for some info on maintenance/repair costs on the RX-8. Is it difficlut to get a repair shop other than the dealership to work on the rotary engine? Are parts or labor more expensive than it would be for another car in its class? (mustang, 350Z)
Anyone with experience in this please help me out. I have loved this car for a while and am riding the fence concerning these questions. thanx

Add you location to your profile. Then maybe some members in your area can let you know if there's a good local rotary shop. For the most part, tho, the routine maintenance is the same as any other car and doesn't necessarily need a rotary mech.

No. Aside from the engine's inards, everything else under the hood and around the frame is the same as other cars. Labor costs are the same regardless of vehicle.
quit riding the fence and buy one!
oh, and do a search - this Q has come up many, many times b4.
