Funny how girls who like and have sports cars get tons of attention. I told my friend who works at Nissan that she needs to get the Z. do you think the "lexus" tint will look good? its the one on the SUV's, a mirror like reflective color, but not dark. let me know I have til tuesday to change my mind.

10 second car (1993 Honda Accord) compared to a 5 Second car (Mitsubishi Evolution (4.8))
Then compare the 5 second car to a 2.5 Second car, it is mind blowing

You have to post a pic of you and your car first, then I will see what I can do about the X-men 2 rims. I never saw the movie though, so if the rims are made by a company, no problem, but if they were just for the movie, thats kinda impossible. Check out RX7club.com, and check up about all the history behind the RX-8. The RX-8 is more meant to be a sedan, not a 2 door no compromises sports car like the previous RX-7's, especially the 2nd gen Turbo II's and 3rd gens.

the dealer is installing mine as soon as they come in. they cost was $85 for the front and $70 for the back, no separate fee to install

No, the rocket launcher is on the x-men spoiler along with a rear-view targeting infra-red system. The rims have that remote control tire slasher retractable blade thing.

I'll have to check Trussville's mail-order price on the rocket launcher. If retail is about $40,000, they will probably sell it for $23,000. :)

I just called up Volk wheels and they said the Rims with the blades that pop out to wreck your opponent are backordered, and it will be 6-12 weeks. My special sale price including rims, tires, and blades: $3,800. Retail: 6,500. Just the regular bladeless rims I dont know about yet. Also I talked to HKS, and they are still testing the daily driveability and long term reliability of the rocket launcher, no time given when they expect it to be on sale.

Congrats aziza K on the car, can't wait for the pics ;)

Speaking about gadgets, has anyone found the Rear OIL guns/dispenser to distabilize chasing vehicles?

I think I read somewhere, Mazda was recommending 10W40 oil and was specifically pointing at synthetic. But I want to make sure I can get them anytime soon. I know they are available in the JDM market, but don't know if they will make it to the US due to EPA regulations.

Those, along with the rocket launchers would make an awesome combo. Double-O-Seven and his Aston would be jealous of them, I'm sure. I asked my dealer about them, and they swear they know nothing about them.

And another question is, where can I put the console to control all the gadgets once I installe them? Does anyone know of any aftermarket weapon control panel? I wouldn't want to go with the traditional steering wheel mounted kit (it would ruin the stereo & cruise control)

Let me know if you get know of any importer planning to bring those to the US.

the software allows you to control the gadgets thru the nav interface. use the joystick and select the gadget you want, if you choose the rocket launcher then a targeting reticle pops up on the screen. you do have teh nav, right? the manual says you shouldn't use the gadget controls while driving, so always make sure you have a passenger with you when you go to areas where it might be necessary to use them.

This post just took me 10 minutes to read the whole thing... Wow all that for a supposed cutie from USF wow a scary world we live in. I have had mine now for almost two weeks black with mirrored tint. Mirror tint looks good on the grey and black cars not so great on the red or yellow kind of draws from the car itself.

Mine had 4miles on it also when I got it. Was toasted by a girl in a z28 SS on the interstate with the corvet engine but when I caught up to her around 146mph she was happy to stop and say hello. GOD I LOVE THIS CAR. I need some cop friends in Florida have enough in Alabama to fly low (THANK GOODNESS).

That was around redline in 5th gear. Has anyone taken it faster yet?

Hey there 1/2 lit. I am not a susposed usf student! I really am one, honest! It's my third year. have you seen an red one with reflective tint, the color im getting is reflective with a charcoal tint so it isnt that mirrored. that is still gonna look bad? well if it does I'll have them take it off and do black.

So did anyone get the windshield wipers paint? Im getting them painted the color of the silver within the lights. give me your opinion will it look ok? It will be a dark silver so it wont stand out that much. so guys give me your opinion, please!!!!!

I wouldnt paint the windsheild wipers, it will look cool at first then it will start to chip. Did you get the tint today

i didnt get it tinted today, the guys failed to call me and tell me that the tint wouldnt be in til this afternoon and i had to have a car and im not old enough to rent one so I have to go back thursday.

the car guys said that the paint wouldnt chip because of the way the were painting it, something about heat tempering it i think. do you think it will look good? or no?

it wont really stand out that much

Maybe if the wipers were painted red.
Then again that might be a bit gaudy.

I heard Autometer makes a killer backlit oil slick pressure guage and rocket velocity guage. Mounts right up to the kevlar A pillar.

After much deliberation, I've decided to go for the voice interface for my on board arsenal. You may want to give my car a wide birth for a few weeks while I learn to temper my language whilst driving and sort out the music I play...

...I'd hate to blow someone up accidentally because I spilt an espresso in my lap :(

That said, I must also remember to disable the cloaking device, so that you can see me.

Ok I just gotta call the BS flag on Kev, cloaking device, yeah right. You can get that in Australia, its not even a dealer in Japan.

Yes, I mean it. Sometimes "stock" wheels look like police car or taxi wheels. I like that the 16 inchers are purposely different, and neat in their own way. I know if I scuff the curb in my 18 inchers, I'll REALLY wish I had the taller tires. I'll have 18" snow tires, also, so I'll have to be extra careful in those, too

Im not sure what catagory the 8 would be in. I wouldnt consider it a sports car its not really that fast unless you put Twin Turbo and a 100 shot of noz in it. Its more like a luxary sport coupe.

Im not raging on the 8 I do like it and plan to get order one this month but right now I compare sports cars to my own car which is a corvette.
