There's some stuff going around on other sites (er, Facebook) about this but since a lot of you don't have it, I thought I'd bring it here.
Basically...
"Shane Bernier is a 7 year old boy that was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of five years old. The only thing that this amazing little boy has requested for his birthday is cards. Not money, or video games, or a remote control car.... but Birthday Cards. His goal is to beat the world record of 350 million cards received. His Birthday is May 30th"
Send Cards to:
Shane Bernier
PO Box 484
Lancaster, Ontario
K0C 1N0
Canada
(It takes two stamps.)
I'm doing it and got my family to send a card each as well. I thought it'd be nice if some of you did too. It has to be a store bought card to count (no homemade ones will count towards the total) but I think it's a nice idea.
Here's the actual site: http://www.shaneswish.com/index.php
