I want to replace my pads- probably front and rear- by myself. Is there a DIY link here? anyone know roughly how long it takes to replace them yourself? (I have a floor jack but not a lift).

ALSO- I don't track this car (I do track the NSX and use AXXIS- which I like, but they do dust a bit). So... I'm fine with OEM pads, but would like to know what others think. Would like to keep costs low and have something that doesn't dust TOO much. thanks--

i did my fronts in about a half an hour... not too bad of a job - just loosen the top caliper bolt, remove the bottom bolt, swing the caliper up. remove the pads, push in the piston, and put back together. There is a DIY in the DIY forum.

I'm using Hawk HPS pads which were a pretty decent price. They seem to stop about as well as the stock pads (well maybe 20% better after they warm up a little bit, maybe like 90% of OEM on a cold stop) and have less dust then OEM.

Ceramics would be better for low dust (Hawk has then for a decent price as well)

Get the square piston tool to screw the rear pistons back into place (your autoparts place has them) if you already don't have one. They're not pressed back in like the fronts.
