Hi, im staring at a 2004 RX-8 in cars.com right now with 10k miles on it, my only question is: is there a difference between a 2004 rx8 and the 2005-present Rx8s?

Are there any bugs in the earlier ones or problems i should know about? (first hand 04 rx8 owners experiences would help)

Also, how does the RX8 stack up to the RX7, i am also a member of the rx7owners club and they assure me that the rx7 is way better, and yes i know the rx8 is more practical, better looking, more reliable, etc. im just fishing for opinions. i hope i didnt cross thread categories but i kinda have alot of questions hehe! :jump:

what the heck do you mean "present 05" unless you got a time machine, its 07 and the differences are only technical, some upgrades, no recalls to worry bout, thats about it

are you looking for a manual or automatic? the automatic had an upgrade in 2006.

There are a lot of threads that cover all of this. Just sit down and read through these threads like we all did. Its a better learning experience and when you're done come back with specific questions.

All the recalls the 04 and 05 had were fixed on the new model. aside from that Thread is useless.
