Several have discussed the mirror lights but I could not find a solution or pics as to how to install, or availability here in the US.

Anybody installed the lights?

Anyone have the specs on if there is a harness to these lights on the US cars?

Good question. I was thinking about these the other day myself. I do not think anybody here has installed them yet.

Are you talking about the little light set into the underside of the mirror that shines down?

I understand that this is a stock item in the UK cars - it was on the UK car I test-drove on Sunday.

Yeah it's the light that shines down from the Mirrors.

Hmmn, either the car I saw was not 100% UK spec (in which case I'm a little worried) OR it's stock in the UK. Probably the latter as there are several items that are classed as extras in the US that are on ours stock (Aluminum pedals, Bose 6-CD amongst them).

Would Mazda use a different loom just 'cos of this little light? Anything's possible but it ought to be a fairly straightforward operation if the wiring's the same. Just need to get hold of the parts.

Is there a blank piece of plastic under the mirror in your 8 where the light would sit?
