After driving for a couple of days after pick-up I noticed that fan speed indicator on the "heads-up" display was not working. Is this easy for the dealer to fix, or do they need to take the entire dash apart?
Thanks

Don't think it is functional on US spec cars, but is for climate control equiped cars offered in the rest of the world. So why is it there? Guess it is cheaper to have only one display part world-wide.
Nice tease on Mazda's part to cause their US customers to wonder why they get a downgraded component car, every time they look at the console.

That is pretty lame. Wish I never noticed it. No wonder there is no discussion in the manual.

Did not see this covered any more recently, but never paid too much attention to that "empty" part of the display until I rented a Mazda 6 this week. It did have climate control and this indicator worked.
As an aside, I had a great time driving this car. The rental had only 126 miles on it, leather seats, CD player, manumatic transmission (although I did not like the wandering path the shifter needed to take to get from P to D.), etc. I drove it when it was 18 degrees outside, and this car warmed up in probably less than two minutes.
