I had the UR pulleys installed a few days ago and now sometimes I get loud belt squeal soon after startup.. It only last for 5-10 seconds then it goes away.

Any suggestions? Too loose I guess? They seem tight too me.

 

probably some belt slippage due to oils or other stuff spilled on the pullies, try taking off the belts and cleaning the belt groove areas with brake cleaner or contact cleaner spray.

 

Just had the same problem yesterday, after my install. It goes away, it just seems to be the belts getting familiar with the pulleys and what not. The noise scared the hell out of me but by the time I turned around and went back home to fix it, it had stopped. You might want to go in there and check to make sure everything is tight, just to be on the safe side. I ended up having to tighten one of the pulley bolts.

Thanks guys for the info. The problem has not happened in a few days now.. I'll keep and eye on the belts but I guess it was just some oil on the belts and now it's cleared it's self up.
