View Full Version : Is the RX-8 a TRUE "car"? Lex 09-21-2003, 02:12 AM simple question: is the RX-8 a TRUE "car" ? Some people say it's a car (it has a 4 wheels, an engine, etc), and some people say it's not a car. If it's not a car, the only thing I can think of that's very similar to this would be, a train!:D msydd 09-21-2003, 06:31 AM What about a plane or a bus? maybe it is because it definitely looks like a car.. doesn't look like anything REMOTELY related to a train, even if it does have full size adult seats. maybe it isn't because to some people, TRUE cars should not have or need seats.. maybe it is because it certainly handles as good or better than most "TRUE" cars. maybe it isn't because it doesn't have the straight-line performance you would expect out of a plane. maybe it is because it's braking performance is as good or better than most TRUE" cars. Certainly better than 95% of today's buses. The problem is that the definition of a "true" car varies from person to person. purely subjective from that standpoint. if you provide a clear definition of what a "true" car is, there would be no doubt as to what the RX8 really is...
