Hey, I dont know if this is old news, but I just came home today with my new RX8 (hot off the truck) with 14 miles on the odo for $1000 off the MRSP! I guess they are coming down in price early? Maybe because of all the issues discussed here?

Anyway, I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this car! Fast, and oooooh that engine sound! Runs circles around my Honda Mini Van! :)

Purchased in Spkane Wa. Very friendly guys, painless sale.

I bought mine at Foot hills in Spokane. I would not say my experience was a painless deal. I was there 3hrs. In the end,I did get a fairly good deal.
What city do you live in? What color/options did you get?

:D I went to Appleway Mazda in Spokane, no pressure. These guys allowed me and my wife a 1 hour test drive! Then went home to think about it for 4 weeks, and then came back to purchase. Some dealers I talked with would not even let me start the car unless I agreed to purchase it that day "We don't want to put too many miles on our new cars." ....geeez...how am I going to know how they drive? Also, talk about pressure.

I don't want to name any mazda dealerships were I experienced this, but you know who you are.

Love the car! Took about 3 hours as well to do paperwork, however, the dealership was fairly busy. Also, everyone was very friendly.
I got velocity red (sports car, has to be red, right?), with grand touring, black on black leather, appearance package with the aeroflares and front air dam, rear spoiler, spare tire and 6 disk in dash cd player. They threw in the floor mats and lockable wheel locks as well without charge.
Total price MSRP as per Mazda web site (build your own car), minus $1000!

SOLD!!!

excellent deal!! but they weren't completely honest with you: the wheel locks come standard from the factory and depending on which floor mats, if they have "rx-8" on the outside edge those were standard too.;) welcome:D
