Ok, so my wife wants be to get a more family friendly 4 door car in the future. I really dont want to and hopefully if I just keep ignoring her she'll just let it go. Anyway, if I do end up having to get something else I need some opinions. Keeping in the same price range of an 8. I like the Subaru Legacy 2.5Gt Spec B personally. I dont know, maybe I'll just get a Prius to make a point.

go for a cx-7 or 9. they are pretty nice and plent family friendly. Unless you are specifically looking for a car.

keep ignoring her for a while or buy a second car...or better yet make her get a new car...

Go for one of the little Mazda hatch backs - they are less than half what an 8 would cost - are cheap dependable transportation - and make good bangers - keep the 8 for fun, the hatchback for practical and if the kids trash it, you have not lost that much!
