Ok, I was looking around Mazda's Web Members site, and I found this little picture of the RX-8... Very very small picture...

It may just be the size, but it looks like the headlights are more like the celeca than the RX-8 proto's, or the S2000...

Comments?

Maybe it’s my old age, but the picture is too small for me to determine anything other that it is a picture of a red rx8.

Very interesting!

There are a few things that are different from this pic.

First off, we can clearly see where the front license place will be placed (those at SevenStock saw this too, they will place it in front of the big opening...)

Second, the Headlights have more chrome, and are of slightly different shape, and maybe set at a different angle.

Third, the brake ducts are a slightly bigger, and more angled.

Fourth, the oil cooler ducts appear larger, and more angled towards the outer edge of the bumper.

Last, we see fog lights in the oil cooler ducts.

Now, some of this might be my imagination, but I think I've looked at this car long enough to see things that have changed from one to another.

Is this the final version? We'll see in Detroit!

How can you guys tell any of that! I can see the foglights, yes. But as for the rest of the analysis, come on... its a cartoon!

Pet peeve:

The lights in that picture don't look like FOG lights, but DRIVING lights :)

There's a difference ya know.. I hope for the latter anyhow. More useful in daily driving, fog lights are useless if you have a good reflector in your headlamp setup.

You're getting closer....;)

Isn't a Riddle a Puzzle?

So Boowana, this is one of those games where you aren't allowed to tell us what you saw, but if we happen to *guess* the correct configuration, you could just give a yes or no answer??

... that was the first thing I notice on that pic was that the creases are more accentuated right to the bumper. It appears to emphasize the front fenders much more.

"Isn't a Riddle a Puzzle?"

Ergo - this is probably very close to what will be seen at Detroit in January.

Turn signal mirrors will remain, with a revised front end. Driving lights std on the high end model, optional on the base...

only the shadow (boowana) knows....
