I'm planning on buying an RX-8 within 4-6 months. I live in So Cal so i'm sure there are many 8's available, but...what steps should I go about taking to get an RX-8 in my driveway in 6 months?

Planning on getting a Black 6spd w/touring...not grand touring. (Reason being I prefer cloth over leather.)

So, what would be your advice on where to start?

Obviously I can't go to the dealership in 6 months and say "i'd like a black 6spd please" and leave with one. Or maybe I can.... :D

 

Possibly....check out the Mazda RX 8 website like a month or so before you are ready and see what kind of inventory they have or will be getting. By then the cars will be more readily available and you may just be able to go to lot and pick one up. Good luck and great choice of cars!!

but i'd be pissed if some ricer gets an 8 over me because he "pre-ordered" it when he was born. :D

I think i'll talk to my dealership this weekend and see whats going down.
