And for the vodka lovers, does anyone else like the Ciroc (French) vodka which is distilled from grapes? I drink Hendrick's and Old Raj whenever available. Not a fan of the Ciroc, I know it's Boring but I still like Kettle One. Other favorites include Stoli, Blavod, Sundsval, Redbull, Hangar One, Kremelskya (sp?), and most relatively inexpensive potato vodkas. But, if I have my choice of anything I'll take a glass of 1937 Domaine Romanee Conti La Tache, '45 Romanee Conti or a 1945 Dow's Vintage Port. A good pint of my favorite beer is what I really enjoy. Unfortunately it's only made at a Brewpub in Austin and I live in Houston. It is simply the best fortified wine I have ever tasted ... just thinking about it now is enough to tempt me to open it. A guy who lives across the street has a couple of bottles of this : http://www.winehouse.com.au/ShowWines.asp?pID=30964 He drunkenly promised me to invite me when he opens one. I keep hassling him about it ... hasn't happened so far, but I can live in hope. StewyRX8 03-22-2007, 04:33 PM Ummmmm, Beer. Period. Any kind. BlueEyes 03-22-2007, 04:33 PM Yesterday, I played squash for a good 2 hours. After that I drank some water, and damn it tasted really really delicious. I drank a good litre and a half. Then when I shook, I could feel/hear it swooshing around in my belly. That was fun. I showed the receptionist at my gym, and some old guy in a suit looked at me funny as I shook my belly for her. DarkBrew 03-22-2007, 05:00 PM Ummmmm, Beer. Period. Any kind. Dark beer! dbb 03-22-2007, 05:06 PM Dark beer is good. Being in Ireland recently for three weeks and drinking the local Guiness and Beamish was a superb experience. By drinking, I mean every night, and by every night, I mean at least 6 pints. Hopefully my liver will forgive me. Some of the Polish peoples I hooked up with were pretty nasty, dropping vodka shots into their pints before toasting "Slainte!" and skulling it. Lucky I had some Kratingdaeng with me to get me through the mornings :-) My local pub has Coopers Dark on tap, which is handy, because it is my favourite beer! http://coopers.com.au/beer.php?id=130&pid=1 otherside 03-22-2007, 05:09 PM Good local red wine OR a nice cold Pozo pale ale.....ahhhhhh kimberly lynn 03-22-2007, 06:13 PM Seagram's VO Mistersql 03-22-2007, 07:07 PM I don't mind any kind of drink really. But in moderation. My college days are well behind me so no more drinking 12 beer in a sitting. In beers I like anything from the Kona brewing co. especially Long Board and Fire Rock. When I feel like I have a bit of COH I get me some Lowenbraü. Apart from that any other cold beer will do nicely. For wines I'd drink sparkling wine any day no problem. The most expensive that I've had though is Veuve Clicquot, maybe someday I'll buy something more expensive. Otherwise I don't mind the cheaper stuff. As for wine I'm not to experienced but there's a winery in the Okanagan that makes a nice selection that I like to order from. As for the hard stuff. I like a nice dark tequila like Olmeca. Aside from that we have a nice selection of other liquors but I don't tend to drink them that much so they collect dust for the most part... except maybe for the vodka and the Malibu rum. nolanrob123 03-23-2007, 02:09 PM Southern comfort, or Old Baileys. saturn 03-23-2007, 03:21 PM Yesterday, I played squash for a good 2 hours. I showed the receptionist at my gym, and some old guy in a suit looked at me funny as I shook my belly for her. Haha, I've done that before. I've never had an old man look at me funny though, but that's probably because it's socially acceptable to shake bellies at one another in America. Jethro Tull 06-23-2007, 12:11 AM I like the products of our local brewpubs. In particular, a FANTASTIC pilsner by Squatter's Brewery called "Provo Girl". NOTHING BETTER IN THE WORLD than an ice-cold Provo Girl, right after I've mowed the lawn on a hot summer day....oh, sorry, I was somewhere else for a moment. Winfree's ginger-ale temperature is perfect for beer as well (slush forms just as you open it). Since becomming accustomed to the local brews, I can no longer drink most commercial, big-label beers, with one or possibly two exceptions. I'm spoiled. Also, the frozen margarita is hard to beat (as opposed to on the rocks). In winter, Irish coffee is the way to go. Mrs. Tull is very fond of the Fuzzy Navel, in any season, but especially poolside.
