Hey everyone, the RX-8 Brotherhood of the Dragon is coming up fast!!! I don't know about you but this one event that I have not stopped talking about since I attended my first one last year. This has to be the greasest group of people anyone could ever ask to meet! I was the newb last year and they made feel like I've been part of the group forever. As all of you have noticed, most all excitement for the Brotherhood of the Dragon comes right before the meet and the few weeks to follow it........ but in an effort to bring some mid-year excitement to the event, I figured I'd post a few Dragon/Skyway pictures taken by a fellow rotary enthusiast.....Mr. Darryl Cannon of Killboy.com (I recently found that he owns a 3rd gen RX-7).

I'm also going to make a list of all who plan on attending this year. (nothing
formal, just a list so that we can look forward to seeing old friends). So if you think you'll be able to make it just say so in your post and I'll update the list when I can.

I just wanted to correct the list, I added my wife Keri.
Also, I had planned on the event to take place the weekend after the date proposed. Is it too late to propose the 12th - 16th? Just wanted to through it out there.

Is there any racing or drifting involved? That looks like a good spot to do it!

surprisingly enough it's not nessacery, just driving the road on the regular is enough. You have to remember that there will most of the time be people coming the other way, so that's a recipe for suicide. However, we do take the road pretty much as fast as we can, and it's amazing.

Yeah I figured as much. I spent too much money to mess around and end up in a ditch or off the side of a mountain! When are you coming home marvin?

I should be home in time enough to take a shower, pack, and get on the road to the dragon this year. That's the hope.

Would I miss another Show and Shine? :-)

I'm still kicking myself for not being able to make it last year. God willing there will be another WB at the tail this year :-)

Glad to hear it -- I'll be a 'newb' this year -- my club is trying to get everyone to come down (or at least a good portion of us!) I'm so excited can hardly stand it!!!!!! Come on September!!!!!!!! Nope, the rest of us are just as excited. We have confirmed our block of time and rates at Fontana Village so watch for registration to begin soon.

I defiantly want to go to this meet. Hopefully I'll see you guys their, ahh it looks so much fun...

So what is the itenerary? I found the one on the site but... what is the ACTUAL itenerary? :)

that one is pretty much on point :) There probably won't be a real hard hitting intenirary until about a month out. But that one is really really close, just without all the specific hours thrown in there.

I haven't checked the link but do you guys sleep in hotels or do any sort of camping?

We stay at Fontana Village. There's also a traditional hotel on site if people prefer that to cabins. SHould be a lodging link off of the BOD site.
