I don't know about the rest of you but I am starting to see an abundance of new RX8's floating around MD. I even saw an OLD LADY rocking a VR RX8 last week. What gives? Why all of a sudden are they so popular now? Its not like they just came out... they have been around for quite a while now. I kinda like being in an exclusive club having something that not many others have :)

it's because the '04s are coming off leases now and people are picking them up on the used lot, and actually DRIVING them instead of locking them up in the garage when they were new...

I have always noticed a fairly large number of 8's in Atlanta.

Around here in Irvine I would see nothing for weeks, then all of a sudden see like 4 in one day. What the heck?!?!

Maybe its because all the little quirks are and getting fixed, and people are realizing they are actually a great car to have, and are not afraid of them anymore!

its still a rare sight here in chicago. I'm lucky if i see one in a week.

Yep.. get used to it.. Early leasee's [late 03, early 04] are just turning their weekend cars in and they are hitting the secondary [read: used] market and are being picked up for cheap..
