I am a fanatic about having music playing while I'm surfing the internet. My favorite music-related site so far is Shoutcast (http://www.shoutcast.com). It's got every type of music you could possibly want to listen to. Probably easiest if you have a high-speed connection, but when we've gotten desperate we've made it work through 56ks before. I just thought I'd share, since it's a really, really great site.

Frankly I'm tired of those Radio sites with the million ads and popups..

I used to listen to Spinner.com (http://www.spinner.com) at work until the company 'streaming police' made it an IT offense.

Over 100 channels of music, news, books, whatever. Many times clients would hear the songs in the background (classic rock) and ask what station I was listening to. One client visited the office and came through the department. They made a favorable comment about my music and I told them where it came from. A couple days later the client's co-worker called to get the URL because they had misplaced it.;)

Yeah, its a great site. Makes a designers day go alot easier!

If you want streaming stations, I have a huge list of shoutcast stations not listed on shoutcast.com I'll try to post it later tonight if I make it home at a decent hour.
