Really really nice wheels, back moonwindow thing is kinda neat... but can say wo doubt that the lines of any 8 is way way sexier than any Miata could ever dream of being ... you did ask!

That's just a NC with a clamshell hardtop. The NB Japan only coupe was way sexy though.

I traded my 99 miata in on the 8. I loved that car, in that it handled like a big go-cart. my wife loved the fact it was a convertible. But we both came to realize that a 2 seater wasn't practical for having a family, and the 8 was a happy compromise. Don't get me wrong, I love my 8, but sometimes miss the miata (especially on the first nice day of spring when I'd pop the top down). But don't knock the car unless you've driven one.

As to it being a girly car, I've seen a lot of women driving RX8's but does that mean it's a girly car? i think not. I don't remember getting carded whether I could buy either my Miata or 8.

Well, i donno its grown on me but i still think it has WAY too many ovals in its design.

They did ok with the triangle and the Rx-8.
But making everything on a miata an oval bothers me.

 

Me too. But it wasn't a concept, it was sold as a production car in Japan only - albeit in limited numbers. Agree with you about the NB being the best looking Miata. Just as I feel the FD was the best looking RX car. (Hmmm, maybe I like the NB 'cause it looks almost like the FD, but without a roof.)

NCs are nice too, just don't care for the front end styling that much.
