Whoohoo! Can't wait to watch the little bit of it that we actually GET over here that isn't at 3am!
And I'm rooting for Scotland- it's my favorite country, so even if you guys suck I'm excited that you're in!

But I did find that ESPN is going to be carrying the Women's World Cup later this month. Go Matildas (http://www.matildas.org.au/)! :D

Yeah, I know- but that means I have to skip taping all my OTHER 3am stuff!
We won!!
Rangers 2 : Stuttgart 1 (and we missed a sitter in injury time!!)
not bad with a makeshift team and having lost two of our best players to english teams at the start of the season
for our next trick we're gonna beat Manchester United??
(it's the first time that the champions of scotland are going to meet the champions of england in a competitive fixture)
For information the champions league is the top tournament for domestic league sides in europe, all the big clubs such as man united and real madrid are in it (in some ways it's bigger than the world cup)
and this time Glasgow Rangers and Celtic are crashing the party (big bucks involved in tv money mean a lot to the smaller clubs)
if you fancy taking an interest in the greatest crap team in the contest try our website

RANGERS WON THE DOMESTIC LEAGUE, AND CELTIC MADE IT TO THE FINAL OF THE UEFA CUP CONTEST.
oops sorry caps lock was on,
it's not a true 'champions' league, for example big countries like england get allocated 4 places.
we usually only get one team and they have to win two qualifying matches even to get that far
blizz81 09-17-2003, 09:02 AM I wish we saw more futbol over here in the US. I like watching good squads square off. All we get here are MLS games, which do not contain good squads in comparison.
Me and a friend are in our sixth season on Winning Eleven 6 for the PS2. I wonder if that structure actually mirrors the real life progressions through the years? I know there's a few different leagues and our custom club team is in the top league :)
'square off' is about right for scottish games.
at least once in you're life you should experience an old firm derby game (rangers vs. celtic)
even the milan and rome derbies can seem tame in comparison
ChrisW 09-18-2003, 06:32 AM Seeing Arsenal lose 3-0 at home certainly cheered me up!
I know it's petty, but there's nothing quite like watching one of your domestic rivals playing in Europe (I'm a Man United fan). If they win you can bask in the reflected glory of an English club defeating the foreigners.
And if they lose then you can just have a damn good laugh.

Tough defeat for Chelsea but they didn't really deserve to go through. Barcelona outplayed them over both matches.
Will be interesting to watch the final.
