My OE Dunlop's call for 51 lb. max pressure. 50 lbs. all the way around feels overinflated but I can't find any recommendations in the owners manual or door sticker.
What is best for optimal performance?
Thanks.

It's 32 PSI cold (at least for the bridgestones), and I'm pretty sure that its right on the the door sticker.

32 seems a heck of a lot more logical....anyone else?

32 sounds about right . I think if you track its recomended to be up around 36

Thanks, gents. 32 looks right. What the heck is Dunlop thinking?

51 is just the max pressure that the tire can withstand.

as long as the tire is 225/45/18 then the psi should be 32

Sorry--but this is really a dunce question.
Look on the frame, look in the owners manual, search the forum?

Yeah, well I thought it would be a dunce question too. Except, as I said, it isn't on the frame or owners manual and a search turned up nada.
So thanks for your contribution.

You're welcome.
The recommended tire pressure is on the sticker on the driver's door jamb and on page 10-7 of the manual and also if you search using "recommended tire pressure".

You should never inflate your tire to the max pressure, that's why it is the MAX pressure. I run my stock RE040's at 32 PSI on the street, tried 34 and found I was wearing the middle a bit much. For autocross I run 36 front 34 rear on 255/40/17 Falkens
