Here is the problem. I have a 04 BB rx8 touring package.. with 55k miles on it... im thinking about modding it with a full mazdaspeed kit and spoiler and a ms exhaust and maybe a turbo....

opinion 1 - dont do any of that and jus get a pretty new rx8 then modding it?

opinion 2 - mod it with 55k on it...

If you got a new one it would be more money. If you Turbo'ed a 55k car it is uncertain how long it will last. Some people have that many miles on them and no trouble.I think it would last a long time ,depending on your drivving habits.
Bottom line do you want a different color?

 

55k is nothing, do you take care of this car engine wise? if so keep it and save the cash.

 

yeah i take care of my car.. it hasnt gotten 1 flood yet.. the only thing i have a problem with is sometimes when i start my car it takes like a sec or 2 to fire up the engine .. which is wierd..

 

keep it, mod it, and by a cheap civic or corolla as a daily driver instead

 

does anyone get that wierd start that takes 1 or 2 seconds to start the engine?

i want a civic ek as my daily.. trying to find one!

 

I don't see what's wrong with modding a 55k N/A rotary, assuming you've taken care of it. Turbo it! That's what I'd do once my 8 gets old, if I'm ever done with school.

Btw, just curious, how are you able to afford around $10k worth of car stuff at your age?

I know many people around here that get the 1 or 2 seconds to start, if not longer.
my car falls into the longer category(when it is cold)

 

mine takes a while 2. it's normal.
