I knew that the Euro RX-8s have headlamp washers, but I didn't realize that they have them in Canada as well. Check out the pictures on this thread (http://www.rx8forum.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=119876#post119876).

Any idea why they don't fit them in the U.S? Does anyone know whether these are effective at cleaning the headlights? I had washers and wipers(!) on a Saab I owned and they were great at cleaning the headlights of road dirt in the winter.

I don't want them. Here is Southern California there's not much need for them. Extra cost, extra weight, extra complexity, extra servicing - just another thing to malfunction eventually for very little benefit. Just to avoid wiping your headlights at a gas station or car wash. Not worth it.

Should be an option for gadget freaks needing another gizmo on their car, or for those living in areas where a lot of dirt gets on their car.
