I've just spent the last two hours searching about the site here for specific info on this wheel size, and as far as I can tell, it sounds as if this size would work for the front, but rubbing in the rear could be an issue.

My car is not currently lowered, so I'm guessing they would work fine for now, but if (more likely - WHEN) I do eventually drop, does anyone know if I'll have problems? My eyes are going all fuzzy from sifting through dozens of threads and I have yet to find the correct post with any definitive information on this size.

you'll rubb. fender roll/shave required if you choose 275 mm tires.

 

Will rub if lowered, or will rub at stock height? If rubbing while lowered, what about a subtle drop of say .05 inch? Thanks for the quick feedback by the way! I've seen several of your posts and know that you know your stuff!

 

i don't know for sure if it will rub at stock height because it has never been a question. Most people go lower to compliment this aggressive setup, but in any case, because of the dampening, i would think you can still rub at stock height. any drop will cause rubbing at the rear. if you do go for this setup, simply have your rear fenders rolled or shaved.

 

OK...I've seen that something like +44 would be what I would need, but I don't believe the wheels I was looking into come with that offset. Thanks for the info!!

Oh by the way...is fender shaving/rolling a pricey endeavor?

 

just get more negative camber and it wont rub.

 

it will cost more replacing those tires than it will cost to do a one time fender shave. which is anywhere in the range of $90-150.
