So, I ordered a bouquet of tulips to be delivered to my wife on V-Day and everything is going well. Until this bloody blizzard hits. 13+ inches in an area where 6-8 inches is a 5-year event.

So, what does my wife's employer do? What every other sensible employer in this region (read: not mine :spank:) does: closes their doors.

Okay, that's fine. Except how in the bejeezus is she going to get her flowers? Well, ProFlowers.com set up an agreement with their shippers to have any undeliverable orders delivered tomorrow. Great! Except that the wife and I will be going to St. Louis tomorrow for job interview (her) and to visit family (me).

So, yah. It's going to be a late V-Day.

Ohhh global warming, you're a wily one!

Hope everything works out for you guys. What happens if they can't get you your flowers for several days (as in your case)?

You call up ProFlowers and hope you can delay the delivery. Then tell your wife she'll have a nice surprise when she's back in the office. In the meantime, keep each other warm tonight ;)

I tried calling ProFlowers. The bouquet was already in UPS' hands. They are trying to deliver it today. I assume that it will sit on her desk until tomorrow.

In the meantime, keep each other warm tonight ;)The weather worked out great for my wife and me. It was like Klegg-fest 2007 (minus the exploding bowels part) all day long with a break for me to grill some steaks in the snow and freezing rain. :wiggle:
