Thought I would lighten up this Lounge. Too much car talk.

Since it's now football season, thought I would bring up this subject.... What's your favorite NFL team, and why?

I'm a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Why? Born and raised outside Pittsburgh. I now live in Florida, but I never lost my loyalty from all my years away. I'm a fan till the day I die, and they lay me to rest in my black and gold lined casket. :D

How about you other forum members? What's your story?

GO STEELERS! One for the thumb, Boys!

Steelers baby! Born and raised in Virginia. But I grew up as a kid in the 70s, which is when I first started watching football. Probably just picked them because they were so good then. But I'm definitely a loyal, dyed in the wool fan after all these years and remained a big fan through the lean years of the '80s. I try to make it up to Pittsburgh once a year for a game. Saw them humiliate the Ravens last week. heh heh

Also, I hate hearing about the Redskins all the time. So, they're my least favorite team. Sorry 'Skins fans. I know -- I guess I should move. :)

HERE WE GO STEELERS, HERE WE GO!!!

Patriots fan here. Gotta represent the local team.

Too bad like all other New England sports teams they build you thinking there going to have a great season then rip your heart out.
.:cough, cough:. Red Sox.

Tennessee Titans. I actually like the Steelers when I was real young.

We have a bit of a rivalry. I enjoyed it last year as I won a few bets against a Steeler fan at work!!!!

Man, was that goose egg embarrasing to you fans or what? Guess you shouldn't have gotten rid of Lawyer Milloy. A litlle revenge factor there I think. You guys definately didn't play up to your level you are capable of playing. You need a running game.

I feel sorry for you cueball. Not that you are a Patriots fan ;) , but for your Bo-Sox. I was hoping for you team this season, but I don't think they'll escape the "Curse of the Bambino" this year either. You're in a tough division. Lucky you don't have our Pirates. They're struggling as usual.

revhappy,

Sorry you're still not a fan as you got older. TRAITOR! ;)

Seriously, the Steelers - Titans is a great rivalry. Always a good match up of two of the most physical teams in the NFL. See you in the playoffs and we'll get you this year.

Sorry to hear about your boy Nedney. I guess he couldn't act his way out of that injury like in our playoff game last year. I see you picked up our old kicker, Gary Anderson. He's been around a long time, but seems to stick around and get better with age - like an vintage wine.

Yeah, I went through a few teams until I settled on the Titans when I was 13. We don't have to wait for the playoffs, we are at Heinz Field in two weeks. I'm sure the Black and Gold will be up for the game as they better be. :p

BTW...are you guys practicing your spearing moves for Eddie George???:p

LOL! We don't need to. The man is starting to break down from all those punishing years. :p We don't need that kind of hit to put him out. Should be a great tough competitive game. Looking forward to it.

I really like any team Gruden coaches.

I love seeing Atlanta play because of Vic.

But my real love is the Titans because they were the old Houston Oilers. I really like their personel and I think they play with a lot of heart. I haven't got around to liking the Texans yet.

IKE, do I feel sorry for you since D'Bears now have "Korkie". I'm so glad we got rid of the bum. He's your problem now. LOL!

Occasionally he looks decent, but he's so damn inconsistent. The sooner you bring in Grossman, the better. You might as well get him battle tested as soon as possible, because I don't think you can go anywhere with Stewart, who has a 21.9 QB rating and is completing < 3 yards per pass. Pretty sorry for a 9 year "veteran".

On the bright side, you got a kick-ass Fantasy team. A lot of potential points there on a weekly basis.

Miami has the Dolphins,
The greatest football team!
We take the ball from goal to goal,
Like no one's ever seen!
We're in the air,
We're on the ground,
We're always in control.
So when you say Miami,
You're talking Super Bowl!

(Chorus 1)
Cause we're the Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number 1.

(Chorus 2)
Yes we're the Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number 1.

Mr. Wigggles,

It must be real shitty to see your #1 team move out of town. Imagine how the Colts fans felt when Irsay sneaked his team out of Baltimore under the cover of darkness. Talk about disrespect to the fans.

I think you'll start liking your Texans soon enough. You have a good young nucleus of players there in Houston. Capers and company is building a good team down there. I see them realistically contending for a wildcard berth within the next year or two.

I've always stood behind the local guys. So, I've been a Seahawks fan for as long as I can remember. And this year we are actually looking pretty decent! Hopefully. :)

If only the Bears could draft as well as I do :( Holmes and Bledsoe served me well today, I just need Moss to have a good game and I'm in good shape for the win.

I'm a huge Ravens fans, like it or not, but thats my hometown team. I have season tickets and I even have a little sticker in my windsheild :D

anyway in response to this:

yea that sucked. The colts were my fricken night and day, and just like that I had to find a new hobby. It really pissed me off when in 92 or 96 (cant remember which year, same year as the panthers/jaguars expansion), baltimore was denied an expansion team, even though we had football history, a larger population, and a stadium. But when modell takes the browns to baltimore, the NFL instantly gave clevland a new team, within 3 years, and a brand new fricken stadium. no one realizes how long we had to wait for a new team, and frankly no one cared. But all is well and good, because if i do recall, we did win super bowl 35, statistically broke every imaginable defensive record, and (as of today) have the man with the most running yards in a single game, jamal lewis.

Lewis was a friggin monster today. Amazing! It must have been extra sweet for you fans that it happened against the Brownies.

Spining Ncnratr ,

The Dolphins are my wife's favorite team, since she was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale. It's quite a battle in our household when the Steelers and Dolphins play against one another.

Hey, I noticed from the Washington-Atlanta boxscore today, that Vick was 0 for 1 in the passing dept. I didn't watch that game. I knew Vick was hurt, and was supposed to be out for weeks. What was the circumstance surrounding that Vick appearance today?

DENVER BRONCOS

Have been a fan since the third grade.

Second favorite team, Green Bay Packers. Favre is the man. A class-act all the way. How many players actually play for fun and not for the money?

BRONCOS!!!!

I was born ine Denver but raised in Chicago. Da Bears are my second favorite. Why the heck they keep getting loser quarterbacks I'll never know. ;)

But My Broncos look pretty good so far. I think Jake will come around and play very well in this offense. This week will be a good test with the Raiders!! I think we're gonna get some sweet revenge for last year!! :D
