Attention all Mazda service departments! Stay away from Ima Paininthiass! Does nothing but whine about gas mileage, oil consumption, marbles in a can sound, sun visors, squeaky brakes, lack of torque, rattles in dash, clutch blowing up at 3k miles, cant beat a 350z etc...

Disclaimer: If there is such a person named Ima Paininthiass, I'm sorry in advance.

Looks like I may have started and killed my own thread. Nice. Note: The above is simply a rebuttal to all the service department bashing. Just messing around. I love you all, mostly...

LMAO!!!
Just tell them that your technician has looked at it and it appears that the reason for the noise is "the nut behind the stick" It can be a common problem with RX-8's....

what if they drive an AT?

That's why it's better to say "the nut holding the steering wheel."

Don't let them get you down, Otherside!
After hanging around your shop for 8 years and 2 Mazdas, and both of them still in drivable condition, we can't fault your service - besides you guys actually
1. tuned properly so oil use minimal
2. sent out useful service sales notices and give nice discounts for military, students, and seniors
3. did a factory recall replacement item on a Mazda so old it should have been shot and buried
4. figured out and took care of some really odd rattles including the acorn in the air conditioner
5. and got the Blue Rx-8 in good enough condition that I could just hop into it and follow a ambulance at a 110 mph speed chase down Hwy 101 to the hospital, with horses to spare ,(ambulance did not do those speeds on Indian Valley - those 20 mph turns kind of slowed it a little).

Just bang your head on the wall, a little, when people pick on you service guys, but know you have other people who were really thinking about your good work when the chips were down!

What does your sister do? By the way everyone, I have not snapped. I am just as sane as all of you.....Oh no....................................Seriously though, my best customers are RX8 owners. And though Mazda dose not count the RX8 survey towards our overall score, we still have the ability to look at our RX8 surveys. Anyway, its Sunday afternoon and I'm off to the grocery store. Back at work tomorrow for another fun filled week of taking care of you all (the customer). :)

Thanks for the kind words. Why were you chasing an ambulance at 110 mph?

The problem lies wedged between the steering wheel and the drivers seat.

Anywhere from 24 years old to 82 years old. I would say the breakdown between men and women is 50/50. Most of the women are hot and single.
