Okay - so apparently no one has ever done this, and if they have they sure didn't post a pic anywhere. Haven't played with Photoshop in a while, so if you can do better feel free.

speaking of white rims... anybody know of a good site, or anywhere in charlotte to find white 19's?

i like the idea but i am not sure stock rims will work, kind of bulky

get some S-techs or something to lower it slightly and you'll be set...

actually doesnt look too bad

think if u lowered the car aswell, the thick spokes wouldnt stand out as much
eliminates that gap a bit and just makes it look a bit nicer i think

I think there needs to be some more white on the car somewhere, or maybe the lowering would help. I liked the white rims that were on the blue MP3 Proteges if anyone knows what I am talking about. But this just looks slightly off to me, not bad, just like it is missing something.

Edit: It is the rims that throw me, I saw a couple pics of other winning blu with white rims and I like how they look. Once again, These aren't bad, just not my first choice for white rims

ya - I was thinking of doing the gas cap white... not sure of what else...

Oh - and just an fyi, it's white stock rims, or silver stock rims... I'm not buying new rims. Unless you can find me some good ones that are white for less than 300. =)

Okay - updated with some ideas: White cap, white strakes, clear corners. I think it will look quite nice.

The rear has white license plate, and I could always paint the rotor accents white (hmmm). On the right side, I could throw a white rotor sticker on teh back window (like one of Polak's).

I like the paint the rotor idea, here is a thought....and actually something I will be doing with the RC3 (Chicago) logo once it is finalized. You could use the rotor from polak's rx8club vinyl.

Just the rotor, bottom of the B-Pillar on both sides.

If you want the white on blue effect with those, you could put them at the same height, in between the rear window and the suicide doors.

Sorry, only like white rims on white cars. Comes from my old SHO days.

I always liked white rims, and I think white rims on blue is very nice....however, I don't think the stock rims will turn out nice in white...

I think the white on blue looks good. I wouldn't worry about trying to make other things white (especially not the gas cap). There was one other RX-8 I remember seeing on here that was blue with white wheels. I'll see if I can find the pictures...

I've wanted to do that for a while now. But, there is one thing that is stopping me. Brake Dust. It shows pretty nicely on the silver, so the white can only be worse. My motorcycle is blue and has white rims, so that'll have to do for now.

also you could do the emblems in white too.

just little styling cues will make this look good.

I have mentioned how nice white rims would look on the 8 plenty of times in the past. Only problem would be how dirty they'd get.

Yellow would look even better than blue does on white rims. Someone do a chop for me of yellow and show em.

yeah the wheels would get dirty just like black paint. looks great when clean but gets dirty easily
