Simple explanation... drag radials, right before the start of those videos you would have seen burnouts to heat up the tires just like you would see in an NHRA event. I forgot to check the video and don't want to load it again but most sub 10 sec street cars are rebuilt autos with torque converters that help with launchs bigtime.

This should help clear up the van

That is absolutely amazing...makes me think about another members sig: 'Anything can be fast, there is always faster"
But I wasn't expecting to apply it to a Caravan, guess I have a lot to learn.

Yes yeas..I'll go to my corner now. Sorry! :D

I finally saw the light: I should go, buy an old Corolla. Make some weight 'reduction' -if you know what I mean. Turbo charge the engine a tiny bit....and get it down to the dragway (as if I could even launch a car right! ha:p ) and post my under 10 sec slips!....yeah!...'there is always faster' makes a lot of sense now.

Ike, have some more of those....?

I can't believe that a Chrysler can get to the 10s....what's going to be next? An eighteen wheeler in the high 9s ??

I think my infatuation with sleeper cars has a lot to do with why I'm on the fence when it comes to the 8, I think it looks faster than it really is and I'm not so sure how I feel about that.
