Couple of us are wanting to do something to remember dave by. He was truly a HUGE influance on the RX7 and RX8 club web sites. he has helped many of us So Cal guys out, many times not asking for anything in return. just a glimpse at how nice of a guy he was.

We (Vipers, my wife and I) are talking about setting up a memorial drive in Daves honor through Crestline. details will fallow soon, still need to get some info together. but this is more of a heads up. We are talking about doing it either THIS Saturday, OR NEXT Saturday. I want to talk to a couple people first as I dont want to step on any toes.

Like I said, I will post more details at a later time, this is just a heads up for those that might want to attend.

Turbo2FC3S ( sorry I don’t know your name ) is also making decals in his memory. They will have a rotor housing and also say RIP Dave Segalla. Any money that he receives will also be given to Daves family.

Spooledupracing is going to be giving 100% of his profit from Spooled up Racing sales and after this week he will prolly give up to 50% to Daves family

Vipers and I will be hosting a memorial run on Saturday Feb 10th. I will be handing out my decals for a donation at that time. Any decals left over will be given to someone that is willing to help disperse them to the people that could not make it to the cruise or are out of state.

There will be a donation car wash held Sunday Feb 11th at Lucky 7’s shop (lil red’s shop) anyone willing to help is much appreciated!

I'll definitely be there for the drive next Satuday. If you get a chance, can you post up a google map of approximately where the accident took place? Maybe we can scout out a turnoff or a safe place to park nearby. I think I remember seen a mile marker mention on the big thread in the 7 forum.

David Segalla, 27, of Cedar Pines was in a Mazda headed south on Highway 18 at about 60 mph near Lower Bonnie Canyon in the Crestline area when he crossed into oncoming traffic and into the path of a 2001 Saturn

Saturday Feb. 10th

we are meeting at 10:30a.m. at Pirate City tattoo (168 E street, San Bernardino, 92401 - It's accross the street from Pep Boys ) and leaving at 11:00.

we will then head out to the crestline run (highway 18) we will stop at the crash site (or near it if there is a good turn out near by)

See everyone there.......and the car wash is the next day so dont forget.

Ok the details have been changed. we are now meeting up at the church that the funeral was at. It is a streight shot up to the crash site. (it is a much better meeting location).

The meet time is still 10:30, and we will be leaving at 11:00.

A few of us took the drive today just to see exactly where it is at. There is plenty of parking right there, as Daves mom put it "he picked a good spot for us".
