View Full Version : The sky is falling!!! jisoo26 01-30-2007, 07:28 PM Mysterious ice chunk crushes car (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16891366/) Man I need to find covered parking...and quick! Winfree 01-31-2007, 01:15 AM Probably dropped out of the wheel wells of some plane There was a wierd urban legend of some guy who tried to catch a free ride by crawling into a wheel well. He froze dropped out when the wheels were lowered for landing. His body fell in this guys penthouse swimming pool, where he was found floating. At first the police thought it might a Mafia thing because he had not drowned and looked like he had been kept in a meat locker - they finally figured out what happened... if you can drop a whole body - a giant ice cube might be easy... RotaryP7 01-31-2007, 01:29 AM Hmm.. Weird.. early 30's crisis 01-31-2007, 01:51 PM How odd.. At least no one was in the car...!! Good thing it made the news, might be a little tough trying to convince the insurance company of what happened... :scratchhe smrx8 01-31-2007, 02:00 PM why would a piece of ice that big be in a plane ? Gets reeeeeally cold up there so any condensation will be frozen... thing is I've never heard of anything that big before. :dunno: Guess that's why this is a first. Winfree 02-01-2007, 02:30 AM Alternative theory - they are giving away big bags of ice free in Florida right now to save money on state storage (for real)- so maybe someone was trying out a pumpkin cannon or catapult? The indentation indicates that it must have been going pretty fast to make the big and deep a dent - some of the physics types might even be able to tell how much height it had to have to make that deep an impression - then you could check for which airlines had something flying overhead at the approximate time.... |
