The Mazda dealer in Thousand Oaks, calif wants $700 for the sat tuner and installation. Seems kind of overpriced.

anyone know of SoCal Mazda dealers who can beat that bad price?

I'm also thinking about putting in a nav unit. Anyone know the pros and cons?

Is there an OEM version of this or is it catch as catch can?

The factory Siruis is easy to install, seriously. I'm a complete idiot and it might have taken me two hours going snail slow. Don't waste your money beacuse they will not do the quality of work you will do on your own ride. The Nav system however is a doozy. I would love to get one but hear you have to find a wrecked 8. Good luck. The Sirius also comes with easy instructions with pictures!

I would go to Browning Mazda in Cerritos Auto Square and ask them for a RX8Club discount. They where going to sell me the unit for like $350.00 and then 75.00 per hour labor. However, if you can do it yourself then you can save 75.00 or more.

make sure you have the SAT button on your radio...

If anyone needs the directions for installation email me and I can fax them. My radio came with them but some do not.
