Actually I was there and it wasn't just the Rx7's...It was us too...LMAO!!! :rollingla

What happened is that the other cars in the parade lap were pissed at us cause we puposely held the line so that we could take the course at full speed. One car would wait for a while and allow the car in front to race a good 2 turns ahead before starting.

And I am going again btw!! :worship:

What days.. Because I work at night and the meets are usually at night. But I can always switch my schedule.

Hello, I just got back from the area Miami up to West Palm Beach and only saw 4 8s during the week I was there? Where are you guys?

There really aren't that many in the South Florida area and the few that are here are owned by either old people or daddy's little girl types.

The few "car guys" that are here usually work long hours. I am totally free on the weekends though but we have not had much showing during the weekends.

"vOc" used to setup meets but he disappeared like 4 months ago and I have not heard back from him in some time now. (Hope everythings ok)

Back in the day I used to be a president of a car club but I really do not have the energies necessary to due that again.

Maybe, I will plan something soon... :)

I was surprised though in Boca Raton there are a few more than I expected! I've been working here for a few months now. The drivers are around my age (28) but apparently they must not be true enthusciasts or something cause I can not get the attention of even one of them.

I do know of one guy thats active in the forum up here though and thats Rotor____ (forgot the screen name). He's got a rear mounted turbo.

well we have the meets on tuesdays, cause thats when my guys are all off. We have a car team, we used to go to autocrosses and we are going to start going again this month.

i always c a metalic red/maroon looking 8 on sunrise and university with a body kit and rims and its always parked next to wings stop...not sure if the owner is on here but they should =) i also see a white 8 on pines and douglas alot i think they are with the pines pd but is nice pearl white with some black rims not sure what kind because i havent gotten that close yet...if these owners are on here ...let me know maybe we can ride out to some of the meets

Have you heard of Tangos which is located on 120th Street where the new Publix is located. They are located in the back parking lot with a lot of space. The owner of Tangos said that there was a meeting held there some months ago by a group of RX-8 owners. I am open to whatever gets a group of RX-8 owners together. Lets decide and see how many can attend. I just got my RX-8 back from Ocean Mazda. They installed a re-built motor that was not doing very well until I took it back last week. Seems to be running much better now the motor mounts have been re-torqued to proper specs. I now have my confidence back in my vehicle as it is running as original.

Not to be a prick or anything but no one except South Miami people will be able to meet in Kendal...Sorry.

It makes no sense for anyone in Broward to drive that far...Especially me since I drive to work 1 hour to Boca. So I would basically be driving like 1.5 to 2 hours (one way) that day. :nono:

there is no traffic at 8:30 and if you take the turnpike you should reach us in less than 15 minutes, where we usually hangout is right off the turnpike exit to 120th street. and the Pizza hut is about 5 to 10 minutes from there.

It may have been Broward but it still was 20 south of my location. The least you could do is to make it North Miami as a compromise but like you said you want Miami people.

lol, I wouldn't mind driving a little. I don't think there's much 8 drivers in the Miami area willing to meet. Least we can do is a community meet. Plus, Ft. Lauderdale is only about 30mins away.. :)

I wanted the nortic green with the bronze colored rims, ocean mazda was offering me one for 25k with the GT package, brand new cuase it had some scratches from hurricane damage, but it wasnt till a year later that i had the money for an rx-8 so i got mine that i have now.

BTW send me a PM maybe we can schedule someting with the locals since you guys seem to have come out of your holes, that goes for all you local drivers, send me some PM's!

Finally, I have some days off.. I work everyday now except Tuesdays & Thursdays.. I'll be able to come on those days if we have a meet..
