View Full Version : Kill threads that have finished Lucozade 09-11-2003, 12:57 AM I put it too you, should threads be closed but at least kept, once enough people have started drifting or repeating the same old crap! RobDickinson 09-11-2003, 01:39 AM So long as thers still a valid discusion going on , no. General pointless whinging should be culled imo, its starting to get a lot of noise to signal in here. jimbobjoe 09-11-2003, 02:03 AM If people would like more aggressive moderating of this forum, then voice it here. I've let a lot of threads wander off topic as people eventually (sometimes) end up posting some useful comments ! Are we allowing too much uninformed muttering and wild speculation in here (i.e. self-trolling) morganrogers 09-11-2003, 02:07 AM All - jimbobjoe does a fine job... but I have voted for culling the pointless NEGATIVE noise if things dont improve a bit ! Let's deal with it now , calm things down and dont make jimbobjoe get Tough on your a** ! M. MarkW 09-11-2003, 02:15 AM I dont think Jimbobjoe needs to put on his Nazi uniform just yet :), and people should be allowed to voice their opinions, but I agree we need to be more positive on here and there has been a lot of crap recently. Lets all remember that we are all here for the same reason - because we all share a common interest - the RX-8. Pointless whinging, and especially needless gripes at other forum members needs to stop. It would be nice to get back to feeling like a community again. Cheers Mark KEF 09-11-2003, 02:25 AM not sure how much work it would involve, but perhaps a cull of delivey moan threads would be in order once the cars have started to filter through to us. Murphy 09-11-2003, 02:29 AM Voted no. As has been discussed before, the quality of posts is bound to vary when there is such a lull in proceedings. Things are sure to pick up and be more positive once some cars arrive! Besides, if I dont like a thread or find it boring or excessively negative, I just dont read it! rael 09-11-2003, 02:42 AM I agree leave things as they stand but recently, as pointed out earlier by Mr Rogers, there has ben a decline in quaility of threads, not so much the initial question but some of the responses. I am not pointing the finger but as we are all here for the same thing a better show of unity now and then may have value instead of some of the surprisingly aggresive posts seen. rael |
