Saw someone complain that they had to refuel when they just filled up their gas tank 5 days ago, --- that's nothing :)

I guess I don't know what it's like to be a "normal" driver, but I've been refueling about every 3-4 days with my 2003 Mazda Protege, averaging 23-24mpg and putting on an average of 115 miles a day (typically more like 90 miles/day w/ big surges on weekends).

So I don't even know what it's like to forget about the last time that I filled up my gas tank :) With the new gas prices, my monthly gas bill is starting to exceed my monthly car payment.

Anyway folks, enjoy your RX8s and the road, and be glad you have one :)

I have been filling my rx8 every other day but I drive like 80 miles a day.

gas could be better but I love driving the 8 everywhere

Same thing here, I drive about 80 miles/day and have to fill up almost every other day. It's gotten to the point where I've actually pondered the idea of having a makeshift filling station put up in my garage just so I don't need to visit the gas station so often.:D

maybe we can go half on the gas station

I think you wer talking about me. 5 days sounds good for you when you drive 80 miles a day. You are wrong in my problem tho since I only drove half that much each day and it was all in stop&go city driving. I think I did only 200 miles of driving before the lowgaslight came on again and I think I was speeding a lot to show off the car to strangers during that week more than I did before. I was driving pretty hard also but thats the way I likwe to drive the Rx8! I really hope that will be the worst mileage I ever have!

Getting gas once a week is great.....I have a work truck I can fill up almost every other day......Wish I had a work RX! That would be something.

I plan to use the $500 Debit card from Mazda as a gas card , so at least it makes it alittle easier. I have to fill every 4 days, the mpg is really just terrible.
