Question and I have no idea the answer...

My 2005 Shinka was hit and run.... Blah, blah, blah. Taking forever to get done. It will be done at 3 today, but the body shop keeps ordering the wrong part on the back bumper, ie - the litttle mud flap things. They are saying that there are different ones on the Shinka edition and have received the wrong part 3 times now.

Is this a true story that they are giving me or is that peice the same on all 8s?

I'm smelling Bs, but wanted to ask the 8 experts. Thanks!

They're probably ordering aero flares and getting splash guards. They're not unique to Shinkas, they're just a different factory accent.

Tried to rip the pics, but couldn't. So here's the links. Rootski is correct, the flare or splash guard is the same for any version of the 8. The body shop is prlly getting the wrong one of the two.

Whether or not it's BS depends on what they're trying to tell you.

Rear splash guard.

Rear aero flare.

The ones they are getting overnighted now are 270 bucks they said. Guess they are overcharging the insurance company for them. I just want my 8 done.
