tomarrow i'am going to remove the stock cat from my 2006 rx8.I went to the exhoust shop which we are going to make the change. The owner of the workshop will make the new pipe himself but he said me that he don't have the stell 3"pipe and added that the pipes he sells are alsa acceptible and work fine for 5 years (i think aliminium /iron pipes)

now i am asking that if stell pips is a must for that kind of replacement should I try to find it.

i will remain with the stock muffler. And we are planning to add a stell resinater after cat becouse i don't want to much noise.

thanks for your help and please forgive me if i asked a silly question but i need your expertise.

P.S.: I can't buy a product from net becouse i am living in Turkey and the prices are high becouse of Customs. e.g. Agency Power exhoust become 1350$ with custom taxes.

Steel isn't essential, the aluminized iron will work.

Won't last forever, but like he says, 5 years or so.

I it's impossible to get one, have you considered taking the cat material out of the stock pipe? It's just ceramic....
