Squidward 09-10-2003, 01:13 AM I would love to get the CD for that official RX-8 theme.. I really like the song and it would be cool to listen to it while I drive through the twisties, just like the commercial (http://special.rx-8.mazda.co.jp/asx/australia_300k.asx). :D
My Wish - Song for Mazda RX-8
Music by Hiroshi Fujimaki
Words by Richard Taylor
Song by Steve Conte
My wish comes true
It's the greatest love
I can feel in my heart
It's touching my soul with tenderness
Oh, My wish comes true
It's the finest love
Like only love from your heart can be
Your blue eyes are like little shining stars
A touch of your lips can make me fall in love
The moment my wish happens to me
The feeling I've desired so long
Nothing but your love in my life
I can feel it now
The power of love
You spark the fire in me
My wish comes true
It's the greatest love
I can feel in my heart
It's touching my soul with tenderness
Oh, My wish comes true
It's the finest love
Like only love from your heart can be
My wish comes true
It's the greatest love
I can feel in my heart
It's touching my soul with tenderness
Oh, My wish comes true
It's the finest love
Like only love from your heart can be¥¥¥¥¥¥

Perhaps you can email it to me?? I wanted P/M you but there is no P/M option for your posting for some reason.
graphicguy 09-10-2003, 11:50 AM Personally, I play nothing but Buddy Guy, B.B. King and the Allman Bros in my RX8. I'm kind of a "blusey guy", actually.
Weather around here is perfect for rolling down the windows, opeining the sunroof, blasting down the highway, playing the stereo "LOUD" to drown out the rap crap that thumps at red lights from other cars. Really irritates those hip-hoppers that I can't here their stereo, plus I'm driving the RX8 while the neon under their car is worth more than the car itself..
eskimo 09-10-2003, 01:05 PM I was just listening to Collective Soul - Full Circle
round and round and round and round
It'd go great with that "Embrace" commercial.
Eradicator 09-10-2003, 03:47 PM Some friends and I just mixed for 6 and a half hours at a house party last weekend. I broke it up into 6 CD's-worth and loaded up my in-dash changer. We played techno, house, acid jazz, some lounge, and even got some synth in there. You can download the mp3's from the site in my sig. :D
mikeb 09-10-2003, 04:29 PM grapicguy-- I'm one of those guys with hip hop turned all the way up and thats why I added 2 12 inch subs in my 8

Buddy Guy... Word...
I saw him in concert once at a country dance hall - stood about ten feet away and was totally blown away. Best concert experience of my life. Saw Johnny Winter in a similar setting, but Buddy's 1st in my book!
I just read that they closed the doors on Legends, Buddy's Chicago nightclub. Guess I missed my chance to see him there :(
graphicguy 09-11-2003, 09:44 AM mikeb....I'm just not a "hip-hop" fan. No offense, but I never could understand why those who have the big subs that run around town with their windows down playing it think that the rest of the neighborhood wants to hear what's coming out of their stereo. I just don't get it. What I also don't understand is why folks would mess up the interior of their car by adding, what is at best, crappy bass distorted thumping speakers into their beautiful interiors.
I'm somewhat of an audio nut. The distortion that those things put out is incredible...no matter how much amplification you have or how big the sub is. All of the car amps and the woofers (none are really sub woofers since that means they can produce 25Hz and below....these don't....they just rattle) are of really poor quality. The markup for what you spend on those must be outrageous.
Fortunately, in my 'burg, the cops are real sticklers about that sort of thing and most of it has stopped. They "tag" every car they catch with a $250 fine....no warnings. One guy flaunted it so much that he ran up $2,500 in fines, and another $1,000 in court/late fees. He couldn't pay them. The local magistrate confiscated his car. It actually made the local newspapers. The cops repainted it black (it originally had what I would say is easily a $2,000 custom paint job) and put their slogans all over it and use it as an "anti-drug" cruiser, now. The guy probably had another $5K in exhaust and visual additions on the car. We see it all over town and know what happened. It's an '01 Honda that the kid is still paying on, but he doesn't have the car. The cops do.
Just like I don't get the people who run around alone in their SUV or minivan with their back seat DVD players on when no one is in the back seat to watch it. I peronsally don't car, I just don't get it.
khoney...They closed down Buddy Guy's place in Chicago? I just saw him there last year. That really sucks. I've heard him there 3 times. All 3 times he was nothing short of phenominal. I've got 4 CDs of his and am looking for more.
mikeb 09-11-2003, 02:30 PM graphicguy--maybe its a age difference thing
Have you ever had a nice sound system in your car
I like to feel my music
That story about the cops and that kids honda just plain sucks
graphicguy 09-11-2003, 03:08 PM mikeb....you're probably right! It is an age thing. I'm getting "crochetty" as my years advance.
I hear the cops were after this guy for a while and they finally found a reason to confiscate his car. He was known by the "young people" around here as a "jerk". He wasn't to pleasant with the cops when they ticketed him, either.
That said, the guy is making payments on a car he can't drive. Plus, he put a ton of money into it, but that's lost, too. Don't know all of the details, but from what I hear, the courts won't let him have the car back until he pays the fines. He quit making payments to the bank on it since he didn't have the car and the bank said "too bad...technically, you are liable for the loan so you pay or default". Now his credit is ruined and he can't get financed for another car. The amount owed is getting bigger every day since the city is charging him a daily fee for impound storage even though the police dept is driving it. Clearly, they want to send a message and in the process are using this kid as the delivery vehicle of that message. At this rate, he'll never get the car back because the amount of money that will be owed will be more than the car is worth at some point. Last I heard, he had to move back in with his parents. He's not pleased, and they aren't pleased. Expensive lesson.

P00Man 09-11-2003, 10:45 PM i like hip-hop, but i frekin hate when morons do that sh!t (windows down, all the way up, sound COMPLETELY distorted...) the musics for you man...
yeah i roll with the sound up high (16) w/ windows down, but when i get to a place with people, i turn it down, common courtesy, really
sure, you can blast BONE CRUSHER as loud as you want, but i just think its retarded when some moron has it completely distorted, kids and women all around, with bone crusher going "i send a choppa PLOW right to ya mellon, now da PLASMA is OOZIN outa ya cerrabellum, F*CK N****, now youre swellin" it just aint right, play it loud when your alone, but dont ruin it with crappy install (doubt your subs distort, look like they put out clean bass) and then have it blasting right next to someone else that doesnt want to hear it.
like i said, the music is for you, no one else needs to hear it, IMHO
i really need some subs though, hip-hop sucks without 'em

TuPaK 09-12-2003, 12:19 AM i roll with the sound up high (16) w/ windows down, but when i get to a place with people, i turn it down, common courtesy, reallyI do the exact same. My friends always get irritated when I do that but its common courtesy. I know if I'm with my parents I wouldn't want some a**hole to be bumpin' his shit next to me at a red light :D
