If I use non-genuine sparks or coils, like for example 3rd party racing sparks and coils, that are advertised as better and more efficient, is its bad? does it negatively affect the car in any way? Please provide recommendations and possible side effects.

Any known 3rd party sparks and coils that are better than the genuine?

From your words I think you're pretty new to the modification community.

and to your question the answer would be Nope. Actually the Stock plugs are already one of the best out there. You can use RX7 plugs, but you'll see the best results only if you go FI. Also You can change it to AEM ignition coil pack, MM did it a while ago but I dont think thats something for you to try (from your words)

As you said, I know nothing about engines so:
Stock plugs, FI, AEM, MM are brands or something else I can't figure out ?

......

Stock plugs = The *Default* choice of Spark plug for your engine. Plugs that came with your car.

FI = Force induction. By using a Turbo / SuperCharger to force air into the engine.

AEM = A Brand name, company that makes alot of aftermarket and oem product. They mostly make stuff for the engine area. (Intake, Ignition, etc)

MM = MazdaManiac , a Crazy dude on this board who knows alot of stuff. :cwm27: :cwm27: :cwm27:

just don't use anything from AEM for your fuel management.
