...the bottom line the teenager was being a lttle s**t and he deserved it!!! :spank:
Tigerfootball 01-08-2007, 08:19 AM agreed. kid had it coming to him. rock on Tigger
DaveCM203 01-08-2007, 08:30 AM The parents are all on the news. They are looking for a butt load of money. The kid could not have been hurt as bad as he was saying he was this morning. They are just hopeing that Disney will settle to make them go away. I hope Disney fights it to the end. They did not say how much money they were wanting, but I am sure it is way too much.
Tigerfootball 01-08-2007, 08:34 AM it all happened because Tigger did something the parents obviously never did, smack the bad kid. what is this world coming to when a Disney character has to take charge and discipline bad kids? i still find it hilarious. and i am with you Dave, i hope Disney fights this to the end.
DaveCM203 01-08-2007, 08:42 AM Tiger,
You hit that nail on the head. I was a police officer. So many times I have been called to peoples' houses because they could not do a thing with a teenager. They expected me to straighten out 15 years of bad (or no) parenting. I would ask them, "Is he/she your kid?" Then I say, "Well, beat his/her ass." They always say, "I can't do that." Oh yes you can. I tell them they just cannot use a closed fist, hit in the face, leave long lasting bruises, or break bones. I would then offer my belt and to watch to make sure they do it right. They just look at me and say, "can't you do something."

LOL! That is awesome. that really sounds like something i would do (suggest beating them and even offer the belt). parents now are just big pansies and they let their kids act out without disciplining them. when i was growing up, if i was bad, i got the belt, the hand, the brush, the switch, etc... personally i think i turned out just fine
juikster 01-08-2007, 09:10 AM tigger did what I though tiger had to do.......I love the tiggers in this world..especially my tigger,Calvins best friend hobbes ;) ....... He's always there when you need him most.....

I love calvin and hobbes. I saw a giant book a couple of weeks ago that was every comic made. it was like 150, so I didn't get it. it had to weigh 20 lbs.
I agree that it is bull that parents dont repramand (sp?) their children properly. *timeout* is bullshit. i had a friend whose mom broke a wooden spoon over his backside. i was also spanked with a hand or a belt. I turned out fine.
Now, what did the kid do to Tigger anyway. the article linked above didn't say.

tiggerlee 01-08-2007, 01:21 PM Viva la Tigger!!http://smileys.on-my-web.com/repository/Respect/respect-013.gif
DaveCM203 01-08-2007, 01:27 PM :bottom: Spank that a$$!
rotarygod 01-08-2007, 01:29 PM I agree that it is bull that parents dont repramand (sp?) their children properly. *timeout* is bullshit.
I agree entirely! My sister in law uses a timeout with her kids and they can really be little turds. I wouldn't tolerate what they get away with but then again they aren't mine.
I had a friend whose mom broke a wooden spoon over his backside. i was also spanked with a hand or a belt. I turned out fine.
I had many wooden spoons broken over me! I never turned my parents in for child abuse. Mental pain works with adults. Physical pain works with kids!
RENESIS_NEENJA 01-08-2007, 02:08 PM Seriously...I prayed that when I got spanked it was only the hand. Spoons, switches, paddles, belts, I've had them all broken over me once or twice.
mike0615 01-08-2007, 02:25 PM phss... try bamboo handle dusters. unbreakable, never soft. :spank:
TODreamer 01-08-2007, 03:41 PM phss... try bamboo handle dusters. unbreakable, never soft. :spank:
they flex when you swing em....thats some double action on yo ass.
I cant stand to see a parent with no control over their kid...
Jeez...Nobody wants to discipline or teach their kids common sense anymore. Its always the "blame game"... violent video games, violent tv, computers, spam, "peer pressure" (oh boo hoo), nudity. So whats their answer? take it away rather then teach your child to have a little sense.
Thats bullshit if you ask me. I had those things around when I was young but parents also spanked their kids when they were out of line...they also took the time to teach is to have some damn sense...

Here's a little more info and the video.
http://www.local6.com/news/10685989/detail.html
The kid was probably messing with the back of the costume, but I would've punched him just for wearing those gloves.
Clavius 01-08-2007, 04:05 PM I'm sorry just watche the video again and if you noticed the teenager is smiling the entire time. And especialy smiling when Tigger puts him in a "Arm lock" (as the news said) then still laughing after Tigger um "Slugs" the teen. I'm sorry if this kid was totaly inocent and unguilty the moment Tigger put him in that armlock his expression should of changed to "Um what the hell!" shock. Especialy after Tiggers arm brushed his face. I noticed how the tape was cleverly edited at the end to show Tiggers um "Paw" (I guess lol) touching the teens face and not how our local station showed it that of brushing the kids face then pushing the teen away by the face.
I hope Disney stands behind this guy. To my knowledge the only place with more camera's watching everyone is Vegas so yeah Disney most likely has this caught on tape at several different angles. Oh that and the teen looks like a friggin' punk. Wish I was still in Highschool so I could harass this kid "haha.. You got your ass beat by Tigger!!!"
DaveCM203 01-08-2007, 04:11 PM No matter how many times I see it, I do not believe that the kid was hit hard. The kids dad is a D**k and probobly needs his a$$ kicked one good time. They are just looking for money.

That and come on.. its a friggin' Tigger Costume. I hightly doubt a padded paw could damage the kid.. as I said in my other post, the Teen is smiling the entire time almost knowing he is doing something wrong. I'm waiting on Disney to come out and say "We have video from the oposing side of this incident we'll be filing charges against the teen for harassment!" Ok highly doubt it but still be friggin' hilarious!
tiggerlee 01-08-2007, 05:42 PM The kid was obviously doing something to tig's costume, and it certainly wasn't a "punch" as some news outlets have reported.
Here's a better video in slow motion.

WantedTwo 01-08-2007, 05:54 PM bad link. I wish I was 17, and had money to fly around and beat the shit out of little turds and not have to worry about it.

Would hiring fellow 16-17 year olds to do it be wrong :D:
enforcer 01-08-2007, 08:10 PM bad link. I wish I was 17, and had money to fly around and beat the shit out of little turds and not have to worry about it.
...that dosen't make sense...ask yourself...."who was the instigator of this?"
If you study the video you will see (out of cameras range) he intentionally antagonised Tigger and he quite rightfully and lawfully responded by defending himself.
That boy is a shit and the parents are just after money - and they should be taking more responsibility for their sons actions instead of putting the blame on Tigger :dark: .
Clavius 01-08-2007, 08:19 PM I can't wait till Saturday Night live gets ahold of this for a Skit hahaha
DaveCM203 01-08-2007, 08:23 PM The boy, his father and lawyer were on Good Morning America (I think) this AM. They took the boy to the emergancy room and the boy is claming that his neck is realy sore. There is no f-ing way. That was not a hard smack. On tv you could tell the boy was not telling the truth. He was saying what his father wanted him too.
WhiteDealershipRice 01-08-2007, 08:44 PM Also keep in mind that you can't really see much out of the costume (the slit in the mouth is a black mesh that serves as the "soda straw" through which you look) the guy was actually just reaching arround and feeling for the kid's head (which he couldn't see from that angle) to be able to push the kid away. Look closely and you will see the costume being pulled back just before Tigger reacts. The supossed "punch" is delivered with an open hand, if it was meant as a striking blow, the guy in the costume would have broken his fingers. and at the last couple of frames Tigger actually puts his right hand on the kid's shoulder while still holding the kid's offending hand with his other hand. Seems more to me like he pushed him away, and told him "don't do that" than actually striking the kid.
Both the little shitt, and his turd parent need to grow some thick skin and a set of gonads.
This "I have been wronged and I need monetary compendation" attitude sickens me.
Tigger should have bounced on his ass!
The wonderfull thing about Tiggers, and Tiggers are wounderfull things; Their tops are made out of rubber, their bottoms are made out of springs...
Tigerfootball 01-08-2007, 09:55 PM Tigger should have bounced on his ass!
LOL! i second that. :ylsuper:
rddragoness 01-08-2007, 10:17 PM i agree GO Tigger!.From a mom's point of view.
I raised 3 teenage sons, I am 5'4 and to THIS day my boys, nor their friends, disrepect me. The tallest is over 6 ft,@ 21, and all I have to do is ACT like im ill, if they let their mouths get ahead of their brains.( which occasionally all people do). My point is this. I have not "had" to physically discipline one of them since they were 15. They just KNEW better.
Of course being an Irish redhead helps...;)
enforcer 01-09-2007, 03:04 AM Of course being an Irish redhead helps...;)[/QUOTE]
...a bit of a history lesson.....redheads are a hardy, resourceful family line with genes passed down from 'The Picts,' from modern day Scotland.
The Picts were a potent mix of warrior and artist, with their reputation as an unpredictable, spontaneous race being the mortar in the bricks of Hadrian’s Wall. The picts legacy lives on in Scotland and Ireland today.
Redheads carry this stubborn resistance to authority and determination to choose their own way in life to this day.
I like your style mum...go the Irish and go Tigger! :ylsuper:

There was a study a couple of years ago that determined that redheads have a higher threashold (sp?) for pain.
Oh, do you know how a man knows when he has satisfied a redhead?
She unties him. :ylsuper:

AMAN BROTHER!! Too many wild children run around because parents do not punish their children. Some kids do not need spankings, just stern words; but others need the 'rod of discipline..' I spank my daughter and will continue to do so if needed. My parents did it and I did not come out TOO messed up... :)
DaveCM203 01-09-2007, 12:33 PM Maybe we should all email Disney and tell them we are on their side, to give the guy his job back, and that they should tell them idiots to go frack themselves.
The father keeps saying that all he origanly wanted was an apoligy. If Disney said, "I am sorry" that is admiting responsibility and they would get there ass handed to them in court.
Steakboy42 01-09-2007, 12:53 PM the kid's head hardly even moved. and i agree, that was no punch. that was a grope for the kids shoulder to push him away. the vid i saw where they interviewed the kid, he was wearing some dressy shirt while in the vid, he's wearing a cut-off sleve shirt, a wallet chain and a black glove with the tips cut out. who the fuck wears black gloves with the tips cut out? i wonder if the kid was reaching for the costume zipper...
