While I feel for anyone who had a bad Christmas, mine was pretty great. I had most of my family with me, and I spoke with those who weren't on the phone quite a bit, I made a kick-ass dinner with a giant, perfectly cooked rib roast, my daughter was incredibly cute and charming, my mom's dog decided to actually stay housebroken and not fight with my cats, my mom played Christmas carols (in tune) on my piano, my husband bought me a beautiful necklace, and my best friends came over for drinks, liquor-filled chocolates, conversation and PS3 games this evening.

So who else had a great Christmas? I know not everyone's sucked...:)

Very nice day. Watching all the nephews open a ka-billion presents, Parents, an uncle, and all my siblings with their SO's. Always nice when my bro can fly in from Hawaii.

Only bummer was all the family is in N Georgia, and this would have been my first good drive "up in the woods". Rained so bad I couldn't see the road - was really looking forward to the drive.

Will just have to go back tomorrow!

My Christmas was pretty good, though it didn't start out that way. My wife got a stomach bug at 2am on Christmas morning and she spend the night in the bathroom. I stayed up with her to make sure she was ok. We finally got to sleep around 6am but I had to get up at 8:30 to get Christmas dinner ready. I made a kickass smoked rib roast and a fried turkey. With the help of my sister and her boyfriend we were able to get everything ready while my wife slept. By the time dinner rolled around we had 15 people stuffign themselves and my wife was feeling better. Everything went great from there.

When it was all over and everyone had gone home, I finally passed out on the couch at 9:30p.

Pretty average run of the mill Christmas. Everything went well, but we don't really get into it like most people. We exchange wrapped gifts and eat a huge meal, but don't decorate at all. Like a regular ol' day, but with gifts and a feast...... you know.... think I'm going all out next year. Buying a tree and stringing lights. :shocking:

enjoyable. Worked 9-5, then had a nice meal with all the fam. under one roof, which doesn't happen often these days. All in all I always feel like xmas is waaayyy over hyped. But it def. wasn't crappy.

Couldn't ask for anything better. Wife came back from being deployed to the Middle East on Friday. That made my 4 year old happier than a tornado in a trailer park = very happy me.

All fine here - can't complain. Everything went well enough - kids, guests, meals, gifts. The 2 1/2 year old sat quietly through the Christmas Eve service - even entertained herself by watching herself count on her own fingers during the minister's 20 minute sermon. She experimented with extending each finger individually on each hand for a while. Then, when the minister turned his back to us and made a point by gesturing at the speakers in the ceiling she imitated him by waving her middle finger at him. If I'd sat in the back our Christmas would have been perfect, but a friend in the front row had waved us over when we walked in; then we stayed as the service started. Nice of my youngest to hold that little digit up so high and wave it side to side so everyone behind us, everyone in the church, could get a good look at that. I teetered on the edge of a massive heart attack for an eternity of micro-seconds before snatching her hand down and whispering fiercely to her. Such things make you feel so comfortable when you're visting a friend's church, don't you think? Oh well, apparently no harm, no foul, the townsfolk didn't run us out with torches and pitchforks. We stayed to the end and enjoyed caroling by candle-light which is my favorite religious Christmas tradition.

Had a really nice Christmas. The new job allowed me to spend the first Christmas in 3 years with my wife. We got a tree and decorated and everything. Her sister came up to visit us. We cooked a killer ham, awsome stuffing and all the trimmings. It was nice for them to spend some quality time together without the shuffling between the parents they usually have to do. I was just glad to be able to have the time to enjoy! Can't complain one bit!

I had four days off, drank lots of good wine, ate lots of good food and watched a little golf and football with family. Not too shabby!!!

I ate ham and the boss told us we were done for the day after we reported (a 10-15 min work day)! :dunno:
