scott's directions are pretty clear. You just cut the coolant hose at the 90 degree bend, put the barb part in, then hook up the ground wire. The other end goes into the fuse box (far right side of the car in a black plastic box) and replaces the OEM fan fuses.

".......and replaces the OEM fan RELAYS."

You would still need the stock fuses....

yup, wrong word. It wouldn't matter - the relay wouldn't fit into the fuse slot anyway :P

We gave out secret santa gifts a little bit early this year haha.

The one thing im not sure on is the location of the coolant hose. Is any coolant going to leak out when I cut the hose?

Sam Yes some will leak out, do it on a cold motor and it will not be that much. http://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=97975 Post#17 has photos

My car was cold, and I didn't notice any coolant come out. Just have a washcloth handy when you do the initial cuts.

Here's the finished product:

Installed everything! Took about 15 minutes. Really straightforward. Thanks again for the quick help guys. So, how do we know it's doing what it should be? I don't have any type of scanner to check temps and whatnot
