As a heavy metal fan at heart, this is the greatest cartoon ever. I've been watching all of the episodes on youtube since I'm never around when it's on Cartoon Network. If this had been out about 13 or 14 years ago when I was at the peak of my heavy metal phase (and before metal went soft), I'm not quite sure what I would have done. Probably worshipped Satan, murdered people in a very violent way and then blamed it on the suggestive nature of the cartoon! I kid, I kid... Or do I? For any fans of heavy metal, and I don't mean this current wanna be heavy metal bs that we have today, you've got to see this cartoon. It's actually quite funny. Of course it's got to be incredibly stupid too but that's much of the appeal. Anyone else watch it?

haha.. RotaryGod I have even more respect for you now.. and Metal aint soft.. just half the shyt that reaches the radio is.. DevilDriver and Demon Hunter track 'em down.. friggin' badass!!! Personaly I just hate how there is no medium anymore. It's either sold out bands making albums to make a quick buck or way to heavy bands that are just screeching into the mic. By the gods I miss old school Fear Factory.

Now I gotta later this week goto YouTube to watch the series I always forget to watch it..

Best metal album is possibly Tribute by Ozzy Osbourne.

I'm an old metal fan. I have Black Sabbath's first album (original). It's tough to find new bands when there isn't a radio station in the area that covers metal. Not even the college stations do.
I wanted to like Metalocalypse, but I could never really get into it. I had my Tivo set to record it every Sunday and watched the first 10 episodes.

^ditto on finding stations that play it. The one station around my area that used to play metal all the time has aparently sold out and is slowly becoming conservitive. Very damn sad indeed when I turn them on and hear all american rejects and other types of bands. But its all about ratings and shyt so its what the little kiddies like so its what they play, that and the Dj's are becoming older and growing up and well slowly selling out themselves.

Man I am soo gonna watch the shows on Youtube tomorrow and engross myself in some over the top metal music haha.

It's not the DJ's. Its the corporate play lists. Too many radio stations are in the hands of too few companies and they just don't risk progamming anything other than talk, "Classic Rock" or "New Country".
