Don't know if we already have something like this, if we do I'll delete it.

I'm trying to locate a present for my nephew, his name is Aaron Ross.
UT (uinversity of Texas) has a football player (and recent Thorpe award winner) by the same name, trying to find a jersey for my nephew or a place online or locally that can either make me one, or someone I can buy one off of etc etc. Anyone have any ideas, I've tried a bunch of places already, but maybe someone out there has a hookup or some more suggestions Thanks!

Happy Holidays by the way, be careful out there :) :wiggle:

Hey, happy to help out a fellow Yellow.

There appears to be dozens of sports stores around Austin - at least two that I can think of in the downtown area, and at least three or four more around the campus area.

What I'd do is go to the campus "official UT merchandise" store and buy a plain UT jersey - you should be able to get an "authentic" replica jersey without the number. Then take it to a sportswear store or a promotional "wearable" merchandise company - and have them customize it with iron-on numbers and letters - that should work well.

Alternatively, go to the official store near campus and ask if they can custom order one for you. I was able to do that for Iowa a while back - my son was fixated on this one running back they had, that wasn't a big draw, but was terrific. I called the "Iowa Hawk Shop" - the university's official merchandise outlet, and they were able to custom order one from their manufacturer.

Good luck - this should be fairly easy to do.

awesome, I will give that a try, thanks for the help!

If anyone else needs help with any other gifts feel free to post in here, that's pretty much why I created a thread since 1,000 heads are better than one when it comes to gift ideas. :)
