So this morning I woke up to my roomate saying she heard gunshots and then seeing cops swarm outside my dorm window. Then I went back to sleep because, I'm lazy like that. So this morning I wake up for my 8:30 class and I look outside and see the SWAT team and it turns out, we're on lock down. Then, after watching the SWAT team for a bit, (since there's nothing else to do so I can't leave my dorm) we realize the dogs are going crazy under our basement so they send SWAT in and search around with like, infared and stuff. So they thought the guy was under my dorm... now they don't know where he is. This type of stuff is not supposed to happen at Villanova. Temple, maybe... but not here. :(

Actually they brought in Upper Merion too. I think every cop that's ever been alive in this area is here right now.

But yeah, it was Radnor/Upper Merion... not Nova. We're not cool enough to have our own SWAT team although some kid in my dorm said, "I thought it was just an ROTC drill or something."

Residents in the vicinity of South Ithan Avenue, Meadowood Road, Browning Lane, and nearby roads are asked by the Radnor Police to stay in their homes this morning and not take their children to school or to go to work.

Furthermore, residents in this affected area should not answer their door unless they see a police officer in uniform or tactical gear. South Ithan Avenue, Meadowood Road, and Browning Lane are closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic until further notice.

damn thats a pretty big deal i guess, not even a mile away. This is the most excitement this town has seen in like years.

but kimberly remember that every cop in radnor usually goes to every traffic violation/accident/whatever. They are amongst the most bored cops in the world, I remember getting into an accident in high school (radnor) and six cruisers came and 2 of them on bicycles. In fact i bet they probably nearly blew their loads when they knew they'd be getting to put on the tactical gear. lol

Villanova U. locked down after shooting

VILLANOVA, Pa. -- Villanova University was locked down for several hours after a gunman fired shots at police and escaped early Wednesday, authorities said.

No injuries were reported.

All of this business sounds like a normal day at Maryland.

My college is ranked to have the second worst crime rate in the nation by the FBI. Put a college full of middle through upper class stuends in a lower class suburb of DC, and you get all kinds of fun violent crimes.

its true i think they each have a choice in the morning to patrol in a Crown Vic or Expedition. You should see the parking lot at like 3am full rows of vehiclees for what has to be like less than 20 cops.

With the exception of invasions by hippies, and protestors it was pretty quiet when I went to college. We did have this guy who used to jump out from behind bushes wearing nothing but a raincoat. Caused coeds to scream and panic... Then he ran into my roomate the Nurse in training - they had her doing shifts down at the Urology Clinic. After a very long shift she was walking back to the dorms when Herbert the Pervert jumped out and exposed himself. She said that she was just too tired to panic - she looked him up and down and told him "I work in a Urology Clinic and I see 50 men a day and they are all better hung than you." He was still huddled in the bushes crying when the campus police picked him up...

Ha! That's hilarious.

A couple years back when I was a freshman (cough) I was outside my dorm at like 3:30 am on a Thursday night/Friday morning chatting it up with a girl who lived above me. Anyway, I got a call the next day asking if I saw anything suspicious when I was outside late last night. They saw I swiped my ID around that time. Apparently, a homeless guy crawled under a van to get some rest. Some guy got in the van, drove away, and dragged the guy under his van for 3 blocks, parking right under my window. Weird.

d*mn... thats f'd up. I doubt the guy did it on purpose, but either way its pretty sad.

lol I got you beat. Last night while eating dinner I heard sirens from all sorts of vehicles, I just thought it was a bad car accident. Then this morning on my way to work my complex was filled with news vans and blam found out we had a double murder/suicided a few buildings down from me. I stop and talked to some people I knew and they said the woman that got shot in the head was stumbling around her building. She is dead now, RIP.

Police search the crime scene for evidence.Three people are dead in Temple Terrace and police are trying to figure out what happened.

According to police, people heard yelling inside an apartment at the Sanctuary Cove Apartment Complex after 10 p.m., which was followed by several rounds of gunfire. When police arrived they found two men shot to death inside the apartment.

One of the men was in his early 20s and the other was in his early 40s. They also found a woman in her early 20s who was still alive after being shot in the head. She died overnight at University Community Hospital.

Police are calling it a double murder-suicide, but are not releasing any details about what they think happened.

"Everything is very preliminary at this point," Michael Dunn of the Temple Terrace Police Department said. "Investigators are just right now getting into this to see what may have caused this."


Police will gather as much information as possible from family and friends of the victims to determine what they were doing at the apartment and what may have led to the fight and shooting.

i know exactly what happenned, the two in their early 20s were married and it got sour, she was prolly a student fell in love with a prof, didnt time it right and now three bodies.
