I got my windows tinted a few days ago and it's about time to wash. Is plain old windex okay for cleaning my windows, or will it mess up the tinting film?

Is plain old windex okay for cleaning my windows, or will it mess up the tinting film? Nothing with Ammonia! There IS a Windex product that is ammonia free, but most of them are not. My choice is Zaino Z-12 Clear-View Glass Polish - amazing stuff. Second choice would be Invisible Glass (Pep Boys - looks like a can of spray paint). SL01 09-05-2003, 05:13 PM Windex is bad for window tint film--don't know what happens, but for every car I've had tinted the tint place is careful to point out to not use Windex or similar products to clean the tint. I use a damp micro-fiber cloth on mine. --SL01 |
