View Full Version : Priceless!!!

Loaded RX-8 with everything but NAV = $30,400.00
Strangers walking up and admiring your car. Unbelievable!
Being propelled by the new high powered naturally aspirated rotary engine. Exhilarating!
Driving the RX-8 through tight corners with confidence and ease. Fantabulous!
Not any buyers remorse after two months. Indescribable!
Can’t find one thing that makes me the slightest bit dissatisfied. Remarkable!
Giving me a 75-day, three thousand-mile test drive, with money back guarantee. Confidence!
Offer me $500.00, and free scheduled maintenance if I liked my test drive. Incomprehensible!
All the great moments and experiences I’ve had in the last two months. Priceless!!!:) :) :)
RX-MEN-8 09-05-2003, 11:09 AM I second your opinion 100%. I have owned other sportcars in the past. From a Porsche 1990 C2 Cab,. Acura Legend Coupe L, Mercedes C class sport, plus a Volvo 70, to my current other car -a Porsche 993 '97, and I have never, (even w/ those cars ) gotten the reaction I have gotten when I drive by with the 8. It could be because it is new, and not many on the road, but it is truly remarkable. I do not "miss" the missing ponies some forum members are so inclined to complain. I just mailed back my letter.. $ 500/smakers, and 4 year maintence. How sweet it is:D
rxeightr 09-05-2003, 11:52 AM Chuck,
Thanks for the refreshing post. Pretty strong of Mazda to give us this long of a test drive.

Bravo. Those are very good observations.

Wow, not even the 993? Better reaction for a fraction of the cost. You can't beat that. The RX8 is a good looking car, but the Porsche is just beautiful. I'm still debating whether to get a used 1997 911 Porsche (280 hp + 280 Lb/ft torque + good looks) or keep my brand new, low miles, free service and beautiful RX-8. I still have one month to decide.
RX-MEN-8 09-05-2003, 02:50 PM To: Desmo 996: For more info on the Porsches, we have a similar forum to this: Rennlist.com They have sections for all the Porsches available. My 993, 97" has 288hp. It will now be the "garage queen" and I plan on using the 8 as my daily driver. One problem to consider is the maintenace on the 993 is very high. Remember, back tires might make it to 10K. (I have SO3).
It is trully a beautiful car, no question about that. In south Florida, exotic sports are common, but since I was one of the early 8's to get on the street, it is still a great novelty, hence the great reaction by people. If I can be of any help, email me, or just find me on line. The gas milege has been better on the 993. Regular city is 18.5mpg on the 993, so far 14.9 on the 8. wow!
jonalan 09-05-2003, 03:18 PM Well put, Chuck!!! I couldn't agree more!
This is the way to respond to certain non-RX8 owners who tend to have the most negative comments about the car. I know, they sometimes get to the best of us, huh Chuck? ;)

B-Nez 09-05-2003, 07:59 PM Chuck, I'm with ya 100% on that one. I was wondering how you were doing there. Have you seen our newest addition on the base - the lightning yellow? It is usually parked on the west side of the road between MPF and Autopride. I think I saw the same car at Jimmy's pawn shop yesterday while picking mine up from the tinters. A guy stopped me at the HAWC this morning for a quick tour of the car. I was beginning to think folks on base had gotten used to seeing my car :D
mikeb 09-05-2003, 08:11 PM I mailed my letter yesterday to keep the car.
I love this car too much to let it go
ectomort 09-05-2003, 08:46 PM I haven't even possessed mine for 24 hours, but I completely agree. If the HP issue ever enters my mind, I know all I have to do is rev that gorgeous engineering marvel and the demons will be exorcised.
