Do you think is it worth it to get the fender strakes??

Since it is quite expensive

Anyone got it already?

I plan on getting the fender strakes ...

It's going to be a couple of more years before II'll be able to trade up my MP5 for the RX-8 - but I plan to get them ... and also at least the front gril trim, rear wing spoiler (I'm hoping that in a couple of years there will be more options available for different kinds of rear wing/spoiler styles) and maybe splash guards or the Appearance Package!

Back here in the states, Boowana was it on his Titanium RX-8 with the whole appearance package, they look great. It's a nice and simple way to make the RX-8 a little more personal ...

I personally feel that they give it the "finishing touch". They look sooooooooo nice, specially contrasting my Titanium Silver.

To me it is a must, along with the spoiler. Just my opinion. I think if you see two 8's together, one with/ one w/o , you will see what I am referring to. Best wishes from Florida. Good day!

I think the strakes are the finishing touch, (and absolutely essential with the Titanium!).

However, that price is ridiculous...but it does leave some profit margin for any enterprising machinists....

I bought some very nice rotor shaped valve caps from a guy on eBay, who also pops up in this forum - he makes them on a CNC milling machine, and he said he is working on the Strakes....

When I hear from him again I will post a price......

I was keen on them until I saw them on a car... I think they might be a bit over the top... I like the more subtle look... also am worried they are a bit common with lots of cars having them now.

So, If they we're cheaper I may have gone with them, but wasn't sure enough about them to pay that much.

I'm waiting to have them fitted on the first service in a couple of days. I'm driving about without them.

I think they give a little "retro" punch to a modern look, which is something that appeals to me.

I wanna get one as well
but there are 2 problems
1. Too expensive
2. Someone might try to pull it off ( by the way, it is easy to pull
it off? )

To reinforce my previous post: This morning I went out to get the paper in this drenched Miami tropical storm.. I looked at the 8 on my driveway.. and all I thought.."YOU have got to have those" It really makes the lines of the RX-8 come out. You've got to do it. Break open the piggybank if you have to.. One of those things for boys/gals who love "toys" . Do it.
