Due to the sub-zero temperatures today, Vancouver streets became quite slippery. Did you drive, or keep your car off the road? I drove mine today. With 17"" Falken all-season tires, the car handles the icy road condition very well.

I'm in Victoria and I tried to drive on sunday to pick the girlfriend up from the airport and it didn't work out for me, got stuck a couple times, ended up not being able to get back in the garage so had to park it on the street and now its covered in snow :(

Got snows, but driving in snow shouldn't be a problem.
Just gotta watch ur throttle,
and if it slips a bit, don't freak out.
slow and steady wins the race.

I drove home from work on Saturday afternoon, just as the white stuff was starting to come down. Not too slick where I could see pavement, but when I was on the slushy stuff, it became interesting.

Some observations: the car will lean off the crown of the road, and not trigger the LSD or the TCS if there is no traction. I think I was driving very slightly sideways down this one street. When I pulled onto another street without that much of a crown on the road, the change was much more noticeable from the street I was on before.

The 8 has been in the garage for the rest of the snow, however. The snow clearing capabilities are atrocious for a major Canadian city. I don't care if you only get snow a day or two a year - at least be able to deal with the possibiltiy!

THAT LITTLE ZUKI IS COOL!

Funny hearing all those BC people freak out. Hopefully it'll make people forget us Torontonians when a former idiot mayor called in the army one year during a heavy snowfall. :hahano:

Lower Mainland BC people freak out if they think it might snow, let alone if it does. Everywhere else, they seem to be prepared. FWIW, the GVRD eventually dug itself out from the snow, after about a week or so. Didn't require the army, either.
